A licensed certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse who assists young patients and families navigate their way through the difficult journey of childhood cancer.

Provides educational support related to diagnosis, medications, treatment plan and late effects after treatment is completed.

Facilitates physical emotional and financial assistance.

Collaborates with other medical and supportive care providers.

Coordinates local, state and national resources to meet the needs of the patient and family.

Provides community education and awareness.

Provides age appropriate arts and crafts, play and interaction for patients and siblings in the Kids Cancer Center and Hospital.

Develops and facilitates Child Enrichment activities and events

Coordinates & educates KCF Volunteers

Advocates for patients and families with the school system

Coordinates Hospital/Homebound students

Assists and coordinates for school re-entry

Facilitates Neuropsychology testing

Coordinates tutoring for patients and siblings

Provides educational assistance for all ages and grade levels with their studies.

Emily received her Graduate Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lynn University.

Emily is EAGALA certified in treating individuals who have experienced a sudden traumatic death of a significant individual utilizing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Emily focuses on implementing a trauma informed approach when addressing her clients.

 Emily is also an Adjunct Faculty at Lynn University and enjoys bringing a “real life” approach of psychology to her students.  Emily is a vibrant, caring individual who values empathic understanding and connection within her practice.

Representative of the Foundation at community meetings, fundraising events and other functions. The objective of our outreach is to bring to light and discuss the mission and goals of the Kids Cancer Foundation in order to help raise awareness for the fight against childhood cancer and the supportive care needs of these children and their families.
